San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs predictions, odds: Who will win Super bowl?

The NFL season reaches its conclusion with Super Bowl LVIII, a matchup between a No. 1 seed in San Francisco and the defending champions from Kansas City that will mark the first Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

Both teams got there with one-score wins in the conference championship games, and this is expected to be close as well. San Francisco opened as a 1-point favorite, though Kansas City has more experience in this game, its fourth Super Bowl in the past five seasons.

The El Paso Times: Chiefs 28, 49ers 24

When in doubt, go with the best quarterback. No offense to Brock Purdy, but the best quarterback in this game is Patrick Mahomes. He also has a coach (former UTEP assistant Andy Reid) who has been in this game three of the last four years.

San Francisco was the better team over the course of the regular season, but Kansas City has been better in the playoffs.

ESPN analysts choose the Chiefs

Six of the nine analysts on ESPN.com pick the Chiefs to pull the upset.

Matt Miller writes: "Chiefs. I like some of the situational matchups for San Francisco, but the playoffs are about the team with the best quarterback and head coach duo — and that's Kansas City."

NFL Network analyst: 49ers 28, Chiefs 34

NFL Network analyst Peter Schrager picked the last four Super Bowl winners before the season started, and he'll have a chance to do that again. His preseason prediction from September: "It'll be 49ers vs. Chiefs in Vegas. The winner, with the exact score being 34-28, and with second-year cornerback Trent McDuffie returning a pick-6 late in the fourth quarter, the Kansas City Chiefs will yet again be your Super Bowl champion."
