Saints Suffer 34-27 Defeat Against Ravens
Drew Brees had a big night through the air, but it wasn't enough to avoid a loss for the Saints against the Ravens, 34-27, at home.
Brees had an outstanding game, completing 35 out of 45 passes for 420 yards, three touchdowns and one pick. Joe Flacco ended up going 18 of 24 with 243 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions for the Ravens.
Pierre Thomas rushed for 19 yards on five carries in addition to six receptions for 37 yards. Jimmy Graham was a top performer, snagging six balls for 47 yards while adding two touchdowns.
The New Orleans defense failed, giving up 243 yards passing and 215 rushing. They got to Flacco once for a sack.
Ravens running back Justin Forsett could not be contained, putting up 182 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Steve Smith Sr also had a good game with 89 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Saints travel to Pittsburgh next week to meet the Steelers (7-4) while the Ravens are at home to take on the Chargers (7-4).
