They said it: What DBacks and Rangers managers, players said about World Series Game 4

The Arizona Diamondbacks fell 11-7 against the Texas Rangers in Game 4 of the World Series at Chase Field. The Rangers now lead the series 3-1 with Game 5 at Chase Field.

Here are what the managers and players had to say about Game 4.

DBacks manager Torey Lovullo on what he saw from the beginning of the game:

"This was a grinder. This was nothing that we saw coming. We've had guys that have been throwing the ball extremely well, picking up the baseball on defense. It all came unraveled on us there in a matter of two innings. And it's 10 runs."

DBacks first baseman Christian Walker on Game 5:

“There’s one thing I’m going to promise is that we’re going to fight every pitch. We’ve had our backs up against the wall before. Every scenario is different, but we’re going to leave it all on the field.”

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy on being one win away from winning the World Series:

“The only thing I'm thinking tomorrow, we've got to come out and play our best game. I don't mean to cliché that, but it is. That's how you look at it. You don't look where you're at. Your focus has to be on tomorrow's game, going out there, doing all you can to win a ball game. That's where we have to be thinking. That's where our minds have to be.”

Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien on facing a bullpen game:

"We've had it before and we've had tough days when we face a bullpen day. But the good thing about it is you may find one or two arms that don't have their best stuff. So we definitely pounced on that opportunity in the second and third inning. I think (Joe) Mantiply did a good job coming in there and attacking us. But once they took him out, there's a chance that a couple guys may not have their best stuff. And that's what happened."
