The Rush: Suns burn Lakers, Lillard goes nuts, Nets move on and Jake Paul lines up another fight

The Lakers get burned by the Suns in game 5, the Nets move on with an easy win, Denver survives Dame time and Jake Paul climbs back in the ring.

Video Transcript

- Lillard with the rock in hand. Harrison came in for this reason alone, to defend Lillard. Lillard fading away. The 3! Paint it. Damian Lillard ties it up again.

JARED QUAY: The Suns are on the verge of winning their first playoff series since 2010. Hell, they haven't even made the playoffs since 2010.

- 5 of 12. Booker carving his way. The shot [INAUDIBLE] and he puts it off the glass. And a lean and a dive and a foul. What a play by Devin Booker.

JARED QUAY: Phoenix took advantage of a shorthanded Lakers team, and even LeBron's best effort just wasn't enough offense for LA. The Lakers need to spin AD's blood in a centrifuge, re-inject it. I mean, whatever. Give him a new knee. This is the playoffs, baby. We need him back.

Another exciting series had a pivotal Game 5 last night, and Denver was able to hold off the Blazers to keep home-court advantage. This is such an underrated series. Both teams have just been tossing haymakers at each other every game, sort of like Jake Paul and any bozo he can find. More on that later. Brooklyn put the Celtics out of their misery at home in what was basically a warmup for the next series.

- Marcus Smart trying to stay with Harden. Cash money.

JARED QUAY: The Celtics were without Kemba Walker and Robert Williams, so this was basically about don't get hurt before taking on the well-rested Giannis and the Bucks. Finally, Jake Paul has lined up another non-boxer to box against in a boxing match. Why is he doing that? It's like me playing basketball with people who play tennis.

When we last saw Jake, he was stealing a real boxer's hat. But this time he'll step into the boxing ring with Tyron Woodley, the 39-year-old MMA fighter who's lost his last four matches. The bout is set for August 28 with odds-makers already calling Paul the favorite, which is not all that surprising as Woodley is currently working on making his dives look as realistic as possible. You're moving too much, man. He gonna know.

Because we don't really want to see Woodley win. I mean, I want to see him personally because I don't like Jake Paul. But then let's see if he starts a boxing match, and now he's fighting reality stars. And he's like, hey, The Situation, come get these hands.
