Ruke Orhorhoro: “I think we’ve been D-Line U”

The Clemson football program has been well known for producing some of the best defensive lines in college football.

Year after year, the Tigers bring in new players on the d-line, help them develop into stars, and send them off to the next level, where we’ve seen many of them excel. Look around the NFL right now and the former Tigers who are there. Many are defensive linemen who are performing at a high level.

We saw two Clemson defensive linemen selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft defensive end Myles Murphy and defensive tackle Bryan Bresee. A player who could be in the NFL right now but returned to Clemson for another run is Ruke Orhorhoro

Orhorhoro was recently asked at practice if Clemson is becoming D-Line U. He had this to say.

“Becoming?” Orhorhoro said. “I think we’ve been D-Line U honestly in my opinion. I mean, I can go down a list, Grady Jarrett, DeShawn Williams, Refrigerator Perry. It’s just so many guys you can name that have not only been successful at the college level but at the next level, and so I feel like we’re D-Line U.”

There are many programs around the country who have had great success on the defensive line but Clemson may be the best. D-Line U is fitting for the Tigers and they will continue to produce to prove it.
