Report: Tramon Mark drops out of NBA Draft, will head to Arkansas

Only one of two outcomes could have come to fruition for Tramon Mark: the NBA Draft or Arkansas.

Razorbacks fans were happy Tuesday.

Mark, a transfer from Houston, removed his name from NBA Draft consideration and will play for the Hogs during the 2023-24 season, per a report by Jon Rothstein. Mark originally committed to Arkansas out of the portal April 9.

A 6-foot-5 game, Mark is somewhat similar to Ricky Council, another play who played one season in Fayetteville. Council declared for the draft shortly after the Razorbacks’ season ended. He won’t return to Arkansas.

Mark averaged more than 10 points and five rebounds a game last year for the Cougars. He’s one of four players to have committed via the transfer portal in the offseason for coach Eric Musselman.
