Marcus Stroman and Eric Sogard aren’t the only Blue Jays that are drawing interest ahead of the MLB trade deadline.
The Red Sox are reportedly kicking the tires on Toronto closer Ken Giles, according to the MLB Network’s Jon Morosi.

Giles is enjoying a solid season in Toronto, converting 14 of his 15 save opportunities with a record of 1-2 for the lowly Blue Jays. He’s struck out 57 batters in 33 innings, posting a 1.64 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP along the way. The 28-year-old, who the Blue Jays acquired in the Roberto Osuna trade, has one more year remaining on his contract.
The Red Sox appear to be actively scouting the Blue Jays bullpen as Boston is also rumoured to be interested in reliever Daniel Hudson.
With several veterans reportedly available on the trade market, Toronto appears to be active ahead of the deadline. The Blue Jays roster could look very different come August as the inevitable youth movement takes shape in Toronto.
