Rangers SS Elvis Andrus suffers fractured elbow when hit by fastball
The Texas Rangers suffered a big blow on Wednesday, losing veteran shortstop Elvis Andrus to a fractured right elbow.
The injury occurred when he was hit by a pitch from Los Angeles Angels reliever Keynan Middleton.
The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports that Andrus will undergo further testing on Thursday.

There is no reported timetable for a return as of yet.
Andrus is in his 10th season with the Rangers and has been one of baseball’s most consistent producers at shortstop for most of his career.
A career .277 hitter, Andrus has at least 20 stolen bases in each of his nine MLB seasons while averaging 83 runs scored and 59 RBI. He has never played fewer than 145 games in a season.
