LAS VEGAS – The Phoenix Suns continue to draw the most headlines this offseason with the latest involving the 7-foot-2 Bol Bol.

Shams Charania of The Athletic tweeted the Suns are "frontrunners" to sign Bol Bol, who is a free agent.

The Suns are at 14 players right now on their standard roster, but haven’t officially signed Josh Okogie, who has agreed to a one-year deal with them.

When Okogie officially signs, the Suns will be at the 15-man roster limit for the regular season, but NBA teams can have more than 15 players on the standard roster right up until a couple of days before the regular season begins.

NBA teams can have up to three two-way players, but they can’t convert a standard contract to a two-way deal. They can waive a player and then re-sign them to a two-way deal.

Bol Bol, 23, is one of the NBA’s most unique players as he can handle the ball like a guard, athletic, but very thin at 220 pounds.

The son of former NBA player Manute Bol, Bol Bol is coming off a career year with Orlando, averaging 9.1 points and 5.8 rebounds. He played in more games this past season (70) than in his previous three seasons combined (53) with the Denver Nuggets.

Bol Bol started 33 games in one season for the Magic compare to two total in three seasons with the Nuggets.

He posted a double-double of 13 points, hitting 3-of-3 from 3, and 15 rebounds in Orlando's 114-97 home win over Phoenix last November. Bol Bol shot 26.5% from 3 last season.

Born in Sudan, Bol Bol was taken in the second round out of Oregon of the 2019 draft.
