Report: NFL is targeting May 11 for the 2023 schedule release

The NFL loves momentum and with the draft now complete and offseason programs underway, all eyes can now look toward the much-anticipated schedule release.

With Aaron Rodgers in the AFC and three quarterbacks selected in the first four picks, the schedule makers and fans will urgently await the matchups and when they’ll occur.

Adam Schefter reports that Roger Goodell aims for a Thursday, May 11 schedule release, one day earlier than last season.

Philadelphia has known their opponents for weeks, and they’ll play high-profile road matchups against the Chiefs, Patriots, and Buccaneers.

Philadelphia is a 2022 playoff team, and they finished in first place within the NFC East, earning Nick Sirianni’s team a first-place schedule. Such a scenario would have Philadelphia facing their familiar division foes twice (Dallas, Washington, New York) while also facing all four teams in the NFC West and AFC East.
