Report: Matthew Stafford likely out vs. Cardinals, Kyler Murray also iffy

Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals could be the Backup Bowl in the NFC West. Matthew Stafford is in the concussion protocol and has been since Tuesday, while Kyler Murray is dealing with a hamstring injury that limited him in practice.

Both quarterbacks are listed as questionable to play, but it sounds like there’s a good chance neither of them will be active. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Rams are likely to start John Wolford against the Cardinals barring a “drastic change.”

For the Cardinals, Murray will test his hamstring before kickoff but there’s skepticism about his progress, Fowler says. Kliff Kingsbury said Murray will be a game-time decision.

If Murray is out, Colt McCoy would get the start in his place.
