Lakers' Anthony Davis won't play against Warriors due to shoulder, ribs

The Los Angeles Lakers will be without one of their major stars for at least the next game. Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reports that Anthony Davis won’t suit up on Wednesday night when the Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors.

Davis has been dealing with a lingering shoulder injury lately, but that hasn’t kept him from starting or from being insanely productive on the court. However, he took a shot to the ribs on Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns, which required a brief break during the game and an X-ray after it. The bruised ribs appear to have compounded things.

Considering how beat up Davis is right now, the Lakers can survive a night without him. Especially since they’re taking on the Warriors, who are currently 2-9 and are very much missing Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
