The Duke Blue Devils will be without yet another one of their promising young players next season. Freshman Cam Reddish has reportedly declared for the NBA draft, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Reddish made the announcement on Instagram.

The move shouldn’t come as a major surprise. Based on every NBA mock draft out there, many expected Reddish to make that decision. Most experts believe the forward will be selected in the top-10, and could go within the top-5 depending on how things shake out.

The 19-year-old Reddish flashed plenty of potential in his first year at Duke. He averaged 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Reddish helped lead Duke to the Elite 8, where they lost to Michigan State, 68-67.

With Reddish’s announcement, Duke will be without both Reddish and R.J. Barrett next season. Barrett declared for the draft Wednesday.

They should both be joined by presumptive No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson soon. Despite being considered the best player in the draft, Williamson has yet to officially declare for the NBA.
