Report: Brooklyn Nets among teams interested in JaVale McGee

The NBA free agency draws closer as teams are looking to rebolster their rosters looking ahead to next season, the Nets are rumored to be eyeing big man Javale McGee.

John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports reported that the Nets were among three-teams interested in signing JaVale McGee. Brooklyn alongside the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks are going to pursue McGee, who according to Gambadoro wants a multi-year deal.

The Phoenix Suns are not guaranteed to just allow McGee to walk and still may try to extend the big man.

McGee averaged nine points per game and nearly seven rebounds per contest. The former two-time Shaqtin’ A Fool champion has solidified himself as a consistent roleplaying center that has value across the league.

McGee wouldn’t be a starter for the Bucks, Nets or Mavericks but could absolutely make himself  a bigger part of the organization’s system. McGee could contribute heavily on the defensive end of the court and really push a team to the next level.
