REPORT: Arkansas targeting K-State’s Jerome Tang

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – K-State men’s basketball coach Jerome Tang was impressive enough in his first two seasons to have other programs wanting him, according to multiple reports.

Tang is ‘at the top of Arkansas’ list’ for the Razorbacks’ head coach opening, according to College Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein. Rothstein’s report did not state whether or not the interest was mutual.

Other outlets, including the Manhattan Mercury, have reported that Tang is a finalist for the Arkansas job. The SEC program had its head coaching role open up on Thursday when former leader Eric Musselman took a job at USC.

Tang is under contract with Kansas State through the 2029-2030 season.

Ole Miss head coach Chris Beard, who was also widely believed to be receiving consideration for the Arkansas job, seemingly pledged his continued to allegiance to the Rebels with a social media post on Friday.
