Red River's Litzinger, Gaddie land on all-state team
Nov. 20—GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Red River landed two players on the North Dakota Class A all-state volleyball team, which was released Monday by the North Dakota High School Coaches Association.
Red River 5-foot-10 senior outside hitter Hannah Litzinger was named to the first team, while 5-5 senior libero Hope Gaddie was named to the second team.
The Roughriders finished the season 23-12 before losing in a state-qualifying match to end the year.
Litzinger is a repeat selection as an all-state pick.
Litzinger finished with a team-high 335 kills on 912 attacks. She also was second on the Riders in digs with 406. She had 40 aces with a serve percentage of 91.3 percent.
Gaddie had a team-high 612 digs. She added 20 aces with a 93.2 serve percentage.
Makenna Nold of Jamestown was named the Senior Athlete of the Year, while Rachel Hummel of Fargo North was the Coach of the Year.
