Recruiting: Vero Beach 2025 CB Robert Jones III sets announcement date

Vero Beach rising senior cornerback Robert Jones III has an announcement date.

The three-star recruit plans to announce on June 29.

He will decide between Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, NC State, UCF and USF. Jones has official visits scheduled for Illinois, NC State, UCF and USF and said in late April that he plans to schedule one with Miami.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Jones is No. 88 on the USA Today Florida Network top 100.

He recorded 19 tackles, intercepted two passes and broke up nine others — including a career-best four against Heritage in the regional quarterfinals last season. Jones added four catches on offense and scored the team’s lone touchdown against rival Treasure Coast in the district championship game.
