Two straight losses is all it took.

Arkansas went from No. 12 in the country in the Associated Press Top 25 two weeks ago to out of the rankings Monday. The team only lost two games in that span, but it also only played two.

A defeat to Oklahoma nine days ago in Tulsa came by 22 points. Two days ago, in North Little Rock, Hofstra beat the Razorbacks, 89-80. Arkansas was 9-0 before that.

Coach Eric Musselman’s team did pick up nine points in the voting, making them a de facto 31st, tied with Michigan.

Five SEC teams were ranked: Alabama was 10th, Auburn was 12th, LSU was 17th, Tennessee was 19th and Kentucky was 20th.

The Hogs have one more nonconference game before opening SEC play against Mississippi State. Tipoff against Elon is at 6 p.m. from Bud Walton Arena on Tuesday night.
