Raquel Pennington Replaces Injured Julianna Peña, Faces Jessica Andrade at UFC 171

Raquel Pennington will replace the injured Julianna Peña and face Jessica Andrade at UFC 171, promotion officials announced on Wednesday.

The Pennington vs. Andrade tilt is expected to take place on the preliminary portion of the March 15 fight card in Dallas.

Pennington (4-3) comes into the Texas fight card fresh off a win over Roxanne Modafferi at the TUF 18 Finale. The fight was her UFC debut, and capped off her run on the 18th season of The Ultimate Fighter, the reality show's first season with female fighters.

Andrade (10-3) most recently earned her first UFC win with a decision nod over Rosi Sexton at UFC Fight Night 30 last October.

Peña was set to face Andrade on the UFC 171 card, but a horrific knee injury during a recent training session put the TUF 18 winner out of action.

UFC 171 is scheduled to be headlined by a fight between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler for the vacant welterweight title.
