Ranking NBA arenas from oldest to newest: Madison Square Garden to Chase Center

Which NBA arenas are the oldest? Which are the newest?

Take a look at each NBA team's current arena, ranked from oldest to newest, based on the season the team started playing there.

Sixteen current NBA arenas were constructed prior to the 1999-2000 season. The historic home of the New York Knicks, Madison Square Garden, is the oldest venue in the league.

The Knicks started playing there in the 1967-68 season.

Thirteen current NBA arenas started being used in the 2001-02 season or even more recently. The Golden State Warriors' Chase Center is the most recently constructed venue.

They started playing there in the 2019-20 season.

There are currently 29 NBA arenas for the 30 teams in the league with the Lakers and Clippers sharing Crypto.com Arena until the Clippers are scheduled to move into the Intuit Dome in the 2024-25 season.
