Rams-Cardinals injury report: Taylor Rapp ruled out vs. Arizona

The Los Angeles Rams will officially be without both of their starting safeties against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. Sean McVay told reporters Saturday that Taylor Rapp will miss the wild-card round after he suffered a concussion in Week 18 and remains in the league’s protocol.

Jordan Fuller has already been ruled out for the year with an ankle injury, as well. That leaves Nick Scott and Terrell Burgess as the only safeties on the 53-man roster, but Eric Weddle will be promoted from the practice squad for Monday’s game.

Everyone else who was previously listed on the injury report is good to go, including Van Jefferson, Darious Williams and Leonard Floyd.

With Fuller out, McVay said Troy Reeder is likely to wear the green dot as the defensive signal caller, relaying the plays from Raheem Morris to the rest of the defense. Fuller has held that responsibility all season, making this Reeder’s first game in that role.

Weddle’s role is still being determined by McVay and the coaching staff, but he will play against the Cardinals – his first game in more than two years. He last played with the Rams in 2019 but has remained in shape during retirement.

The full injury report for the Rams and Cardinals will be added when available.
