Raiders select stud linebacker in Dane Brugler’s first 2021 mock draft

The Raiders tried to upgrade their linebacker corps this offseason, adding players such as Nick Kwiatoski and Cory Littleton. Unfortunately, Littleton has been quite a disappointment as he has now been benched in favor of Nicholas Morrow.

That is why it wouldn’t be surprising if the Raiders threw more resources at the linebacker position in the upcoming draft. They need to get more athletic at the position and need to add speed to the unit.

In his first mock draft of the season, Dane Brugler of The Athletic gave the Raiders linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah from Notre Dame. Here is what he had to say about the Fighting Irish star:

“The Raiders need more playmakers on defense and with his explosion and versatility, that is what Owusu-Koramoah can provide. A three-down player, he has the play speed to blitz, string out runs or drop in coverage.”

As of right now, the Raiders would own the No. 17 pick in the 2021 draft, but they are hoping they select much, much later than that. But over the next month, keep an eye on Owusu-Koramoah as he could be a prime target for the Raiders in the middle of Round 1.
