Raiders QB Aidan O’Connell’s passing chart in Week 11

Aidan O’Connell has now started four games for the Raiders during his rookie season. Unfortunately, his worst game of the season came in Week 11 when the Raiders had a chance to steal a game on the road against the Dolphins.

O’Connell had some really nice throws, including a gorgeous touchdown pass to Davante Adams for a touchdown. But it was the interceptions that came back to bite him. O’Connell threw three interceptions and only completed one pass beyond 20 air yards all game.

The lack of big plays in the passing game continues to haunt the Raiders as they struggle to score points. Take a look at O’Connell’s passing chart in Week 11, courtesy of the NFL’s Next Gen Stats:

O’Connell has done some nice things as a starter for the Raiders. But they need him to be more effective as a down-field passer. If he can start doing that, the offense can take the next step and start putting up points. But until then, it’s going to be a struggle for this unit to score 20+ points in any given week.
