The New Orleans native was a fixture on Georgia's offense for three full seasons, starting every game through back-to-back national championship seasons and a 13-1 season that ended with an Orange Bowl win. He was a constant on a team that had two quarterbacks, two offensive coordinators and saw a couple of impactful wide receivers transfer out during that stretch. Georgia had a fourth-round center in 2012 in Ben Jones who was in the league for a decade and became a Pro Bowler. The 6-foot-4, 298-pound Van Pran-Granger could have some of the same intangibles that lends itself to a long pro career, but his athleticism doesn't jump out. Draft analyst Dane Brugler of The Athletic calls him a "consistent finisher on every snap," but also said "he might struggle when caught in any situation that calls for him to play in space."

Van Pran-Granger wanted to show at Pro Day that he is versatile enough to play guard, something he didn't do at Georgia. The NFL comparison, by Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, is Lloyd Cushenberry, a center now with the Tennessee Titans. He sees him as an early NFL starter. "It doesn’t always look controlled or clean, but he’s a fighter who usually finds ways to get his guy blocked."
