Preps: Virginia High beats Graham, Huntington defeats Beavers
Jan. 9—BLUEFIELD, Va, — Ethan Carpenter scored 23 points to lead visiting Virginia High to a 57-35 win over the Graham boys at Graham Middle School on Friday night.
Deanta Mozell chipped in 10 points for the Bearcats.
Markelle Ray scored eight points to pace the G-Men.

BECKLEY — Five players scored in double figures as Huntington defeated Bluefield 74-56 Friday night in New River CTC Invitational action.
Michael Johnson led the way for the Highlanders with 15 points, 13 rebounds and three steals.
Tayveon Wilson had 19 points and six rebounds. Jayden Clark followed with 17 points, Avonté Crawford 13 and Taviun Chandler 10.
Jase Smith led Bluefield with 19 points. R.J. Hairston had 16, while Kam'Ran Gore scored 12 and contributed five assists and two steals.
