PREP SPORTS: Good Hope's Tetro named Athlete of the Week

Mar. 8—Bailey Tetro couldn't have scripted a better ending to an exceptional prep basketball career.

The Good Hope senior helped guide the Class 4A No. 1 Raiders to their first-ever state championship following a 63-35 win over T.R. Miller last week. Tetro tallied 17 points — adding seven steals, six rebounds and five assists — in the victory en route to earning tournament MVP honors.

Tetro netted 37 points and shot 61 percent in two games at Birmingham's Legacy Arena, finishing her varsity tenure with 1,910 career points.

She is The Times' Athlete of the Week.
