Coming down to the final race, St. Peter was able to eke out a victory over host Litchfield.

The Saints' 400-yard freestyle relay finished in first with a time of 3 minutes, 58.36 seconds. Litchfield's quartet of Adeline Lundin, Grace Schmidt, Adallia Bruning and Ellie Brown finished in second by .13 seconds.

"This meet was probably one of the loudest meets I have ever witnessed," Dragons head coach Ashlynn Mattson said via e-mail. "It was one of those edge-of-your-seats kind of meet. As the head coach, this one stings to type.

"They worked to the very end. We lost to this team by 20 points this last year and we came back to almost beat them. I'm proud of this team but we will continue to work to improve what would have helped us win tonight."

Bruning had wins in the 200 freestyle (2:11.17) and 500 freestyle (5:59.04). Brown also had a pair of wins in the 50 freestyle (26.45) and 100 freestyle (1:00.35). Lundin (100 butterfly, 1:07.02) and Emily Petersen (100 breaststroke, 1:15.31) were also winners for Litchfield.
