HUDSON — The Clinton softball team visited Hudson for a big Lenawee County Athletic Association doubleheader, the first of two this week for the Redwolves on the road, and came out with an 8-2 and 5-4 sweep.

Clinton (19-8, 10-0 LCAA) got a great performance from Kendall Phillip in Game 1 as she struck out 14 and hit a home run. Taryn Hernandez followed Phillip's performance in the pitcher's circle with 10 strikeouts of her own in a Game 2 victory.

Hudson is now 19-6 and 7-3 in the LCAA.

The Redwolves will be back on the road Thursday for a doubleheader against Dundee, which is 9-1 in the LCAA. A Clinton sweep would clinch the LCAA title from the Vikings, who pulled off the sweep in Clinton a season ago to clinch.
