Prep report: Duluth Marshall's Lindaman a Ms. Hockey semifinalist
Feb. 12—Duluth Marshall forward Ilsa Lindaman was named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2024 Let's Play Hockey Ms. Hockey Award.
Lindaman, a senior for the Hilltoppers and St. Thomas recruit, is second in the state with 57 goals and 86 points — both school records — and has led Marshall to a 22-3-1 record and the top seed in the Section 7A tournament.
She was also named one of six finalists for
Youth Hockey Hub's Girls Hockey Player of the Year.
She and the Hilltoppers will face three-time defending champion Proctor/Hermantown for the section title and a spot at the state tournament at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Luke's Sports and Event Center in Proctor.
The Mirage picked up a win when junior Jane Eckstrom scored with 2.8 seconds remaining in overtime in the teams' first meeting this season.
Duluth East's Brennan Meyer and Ty Nyberg combined for 44 points, but no other Greyhound scored more than eight in the loss Monday in Circle Pines, Minnesota.
Meyer had a team-high 23 points and Nyberg finished with 21 for East.
The Greyhounds took a 37-30 lead into halftime, but they couldn't keep pace with the Cougars in the second half.
Centennial's Ty Burgoon led all scorers with 24 points.

Hali Savela made five 3-pointers and Jordan Zubich four as the Rangers handed the Wolverines only their fourth loss of the season on Monday night in Mountain Iron.
Zubich finished with 18 points and eight assists, while Savela had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the 21-2 Rangers.
