Boonsboro's Sydney Hartle and Clear Spring’s Jacob Faith were voted The Herald-Mail's Washington County high school athletes of the week for April 8-13

The voting was conducted online Monday morning through noon Wednesday.

Hartle, a senior softball player, earned the girls honor with 51.04% of the vote (342 votes). She went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in a win over Catoctin and had three hits and six RBIs in a win over North Hagerstown, reaching the 100-hit career milestone.

Faith, a junior track and field athlete, was the boys winner with 45.39% of the vote (315 votes). He cleared 6 feet, 6 inches to win the high jump at the Fort Hill Invitational, setting a school record with the best mark in the county since 2018.

The other boys nominees were North Hagerstown's Q Maree Winston (lacrosse) and Grace's Michael Berry (baseball).

The other girls nominees were Smithsburg's Jenna Howe (track) and St. Maria Goretti's Bailey Summers (softball).

April 1-6 winners: Clear Spring’s Dawson Kehr and North's Avery Byard
