Tulare County athlete of the week: Woodlake's Audrina Rodriguez
Woodlake softball player Audrina Rodriguez was voted by readers as the Visalia Times-Delta Tulare County high school athlete of the week.
In an online poll that closed on May 3, Rodriguez received 766 votes, or a 27.2% majority, of the 2,825 responses. She won by just four votes. El Diamante's Jorja Moreno finished second with 762 votes.
Rodriguez surpassed 550 career strikeouts in a 5-1 win over Corcoran.

Kayloni Cox, softball, Tulare Union: Cox had two hits and one RBI to help the Tribe defeat Lemoore 5-4.
Blake Crawford, baseball, Tulare Western: Crawford launched a home run to lead the Mustangs to a 4-2 win versus Hanford.
Wyatt McElree, baseball, Redwood: McElree went 2-for-2 hitting with two runs, three RBIs, a home run and a walk as the Rangers beat El Diamante 6-2.
Jorja Moreno, softball, El Diamante: Moreno tossed a complete game in a 4-1 victory against Redwood. She also blasted a pair of doubles and knocked in two runs.
Audrina Rodriguez, softball, Woodlake: Rodriguez surpassed 550 career strikeouts in a 5-1 win over Corcoran.
Memo Rosales, baseball, Woodlake: Rosales got the win on the mound in a 6-5 victory versus Corcoran.
Ruben Ruiz, baseball, Exeter: Ruiz smacked two doubles and drove in three runs in a 9-3 victory over Hanford West.
Wyatt Talk, boys track and field, Central Valley Christian: Talk established a new school record, clearing 13 feet and 10 inches in the pole vault.

Nominations are based on information available to the Times-Delta.
All high school varsity players from Tulare County can be on the ballot. Nominations must be received for consideration by Monday morning following that week's games.
