Plenty of big performances on the court: Cast your vote for the Hometeam Girls' Basketball Player of the Week
There were plenty of great performances last week on the courts, and Jennifer Toland found 22 of the best of them for readers to vote on for the Hometeam girls’ basketball player of the week.
Congratulations to North High's JaKayla Edmonds, who topped last week's poll with 1,402 votes (40.4 percent) to top Auburn's Emily Hunter (1,250) for the honor.

Destiny Boateng, Abby Kelley
The senior averaged 23 points in a 2-0 week.
Kathryn Cahill, Uxbridge
The senior led the Spartans to a 2-0 week with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals against Oxford, and 11 rebounds against Hopedale.
Ava Carroll, Sutton
The freshman posted back-to-back double-doubles with 24 points and 19 rebounds in a win over Doherty and 22 points and 16 rebounds in a victory over BMR. Carroll added six steals in the Doherty game and the Suzies remained undefeated (19-0).
Phoebe Carroll, Hopedale
The sophomore posted a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds in a loss to Milford and averaged 17.5 points in two games.
Maddy Cotter, Nashoba
The freshman scored 22 points and sank six 3-pointers to lead the Wolves to a win over Grafton.
Calleigh Currier, Maynard
The sophomore scored 12 points and had 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the Tigers to a win over Leicester.
Mary Gibbons, Wachusett
The senior averaged 17 points as the unbeaten Mountaineers (18-0) defeated Newton North and Bishop Feehan, the No. 1 team in the MIAA Division 1 Power Rankings.
Emily Hunter, Auburn
The sophomore posted back-to-back double-doubles with 10 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Grafton, and 12 points and 14 rebounds in a victory over Oxford.
Ashleigh Lagor, Millbury
The senior poured in a game-high 34 points in a win over Grafton, and scored her 1,000th career point with a 3-pointer against Northbridge. Lagor averaged 23.5 points to lead the Woolies to a 2-0 week.
Victoria McCoy, Littleton
The senior scored 26 points in a win over North Middlesex and averaged 21.5 points in a 2-0 week. She sank 12 3-pointers in the two games.
Erin McNamara, St. Bernard’s
The junior averaged 17 points and sank 13 3-pointers to lead St. Bernard’s to a 3-0 week.
Isabella Miele, Marlborough
The sophomore scored 35 points to lead the Panthers to a win over Shepherd Hill Regional.
Addison O’Connor, Shrewsbury
The freshman scored 20 points to lead the Colonials to a win over Westford Academy.
Erin Peplowski, Lunenburg
The senior scored a game-high 21 points in a loss to North Middlesex Regional, and sank 10 3-pointers in the Blue Knights’ three games.
Addison Pong, Notre Dame Academy
The junior averaged 20.5 points in the Rebels’ two games.
Cameron Rust, Worcester Academy
The senior scored 22 points and had nine rebounds in a win over St. Andrew’s, and led the Hilltoppers to a 2-0 week.
Jaizzy Santiago, Shepherd Hill
The junior scored 21 points in a win over Westborough, and averaged 16.6 points in three games.
Gabby Scanlon, Tantasqua
The senior averaged 17.3 points to lead the Warriors to a 3-0 week.
Annabelle Semeter, Westborough
The senior averaged 18.6 points in a 2-1 week.
Ireland Shea, St. Paul
The freshman posted a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Knights to a win over Fitchburg.
Tati Vazquez, Gardner
The junior poured in 30 points in a win over Main South and averaged 20 points to lead the Wildcats to a 2-0 week.
Alison Welton, Bay Path
The junior scored a game-high 28 points in a loss to Division 1 Acton-Boxborough, and averaged 17.3 points in three games.
