Players of the Week: Vecchio and Allen among Pueblo's top performers
The 2023 fall prep season is underway, and even though it’s just the second week of the season, there were plenty of top performers from all around Pueblo prep sports.
This week's Players of the Week include some elite performances, such as a complete game on the mound in softball, an impressive volleyball performance, a plethora of touchdowns, some first-place finishes in golf and cross country, and goals scored on the soccer pitch.
Each week, the Chieftain recognizes the top student-athletes from area schools to highlight those who have performed at a high level. The Chieftain sports staff selects them. Coaches can nominate players by emailing cabdelmalek@gannett.com prior to Thursday night.
