PJ Tucker wants Sixers to begin doing the little things, get on same page

CAMDEN, N.J.–The Philadelphia 76ers are off to a very surprising poor start as they are off to 0-3 to begin the 2022-23 season. They dropped their first two games to legitimate title contenders in the form of the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks, but then they fell to the San Antonio Spurs and alarms have been raised.

As the Sixers look to right the ship and finally get in the win column on Monday when they take on the Indiana Pacers, veteran PJ Tucker wants the Sixers to begin doing the little things in order to win games.

“Just as a team, me included, everybody just coming together, playing hard, being on the same page,” said Tucker. “A lot of small things happening throughout the games, little nuances that we’re understanding. It’s stuff that we just got to get better at and it’s not that we don’t do it or have a rough time doing it. It’s just consistently doing it enough to be able to win games.”

After falling to the Spurs, Tucker had a message to the team that wins won’t just be given to them. He wants his teammates to understand that and he wants the team to figure out and move forward.

“Just get everybody on the same page,” he added. “We got a lot of new guys. Just integrate into the system and system changes and it’s just stuff we just gotta get better at communicating and being on the same page.”

The Sixers will host the Pacers at 7 p.m. EDT on Monday looking to avoid a dreadful 0-4 start.
