Pisgah football QB Aaron Clark's six-touchdown game highlights Week 2 top performers

Week 2 is now in the rear view mirror. There were several key results on Friday, like Reynolds defeating Shelby, Mitchell beating McDowell and North Buncombe knocking off Owen to win two straight games following an 18-game losing streak.

Each week we will highlight some of the top performers. This list is compiled from information provided to the Citizen Times (sports@citizentimes.com), or posted on MaxPreps or social media.

Here are the top performers from Week 2 among players in Western North Carolina.

Dalton Rose, Andrews: The 6-foot-1, 205-pound running back rushed for 278 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries in a 54-30 win vs. East Henderson.

Eli Aguilar, Andrews: The 5-foot-7, 160-pound running back ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.

Michael Mauney, Hayesville: The junior strong safety intercepted two passes, returning one for a 35-yard touchdown in a 55-21 win vs. Madison.

Tre Graves, Hayesville: The 5-foot-9, 165-pound running back rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.

Rylan Cooper, Mitchell: The 5-10, 235-pound running back rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. He added a reception for 49 yards in a 35-6 win vs. McDowell.

Brandon Quinn, Mountain Heritage: The junior quarterback threw for 72 yards and a touchdown and added 120 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in a 32-28 win vs. Erwin.

CJ Burleson, Mountain Heritage: The 5-10, 190-linebacker tallied 14 tackles with three of them for a loss.

Cole McGee, Mountain Heritage: The sophomore defensive back intercepted four passes.

Hayden Burnette, North Buncombe: The 5-7, 155-pound running back rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in a 32-13 win vs. Owen.

Keith Payne, North Henderson: The senior wide receiver caught three passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns in a 40-14 win vs. Rosman.

Zion McDaniel, North Henderson: The senior running back ran for 83 yards and two touchdowns on six attempts.

Aaron Clark, Pisgah: The 6-foot, 170-pound quarterback completed 12 of 16 passes for 237 yards with four touchdowns. The junior rushed for 41 yards and two more touchdowns on eight carries in a 56-3 win vs. Enka.

Cadden Davis, Pisgah: The 6-1, 160-pound receiver caught four passes for 85 yards with a touchdown.

Antonio Simpson, Polk County: The 6-4, 185-pound receiver caught four passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns in a 29-23 loss vs. Tuscola.

Keaundrae Green, Polk County: The 6-1, 172-pound wideout caught six passes for 122 yards. He intercepted a pass as well.

Lawson Carter, Polk County: The 6-foot, 160-pound quarterback completed 20 of 27 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns.

Cuttler Adams, Robbinsville: The 6-1, 192-pound running back ran for 92 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in a 26-0 win vs. Franklin.

Darion Ledbetter, Robbinsville: The 6-1, 180-pound wideout caught four passes for 87 yards and a touchdown.

Roman Jones, Robbinsville: The 6-3, 193-pound outside linebacker intercepted two passes.

Cohen Bohanon, Roberson: The junior linebacker recorded 11 tackles in a 56-6 win vs. East Rutherford.

PJ Deshauteurs, Roberson: The senior running back ran for 125 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

Reno Jeter, Roberson: The senior running back and linebacker rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. He added nine tackles with three of them coming for a loss.

ELECTRIC RETURNS: Malik Angrum electric in Reynolds' football victory against Shelby as defense reigns.

Malachi McNeely, Smoky Mountain: The 6-foot, 167-pound defensive back made eight tackles and intercepted a pass in a 14-10 loss vs. Swain County.

Gavin Langley, Tuscola: The junior running back ran for 102 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.

Jed West, Tuscola: The senior quarterback completed 13 of 19 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. He added 66 rushing yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

Carson Dimsdale, West Henderson: The 5-9, 156-pound running back rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries in a 44-0 win vs. Hendersonville.

Diego Castro, West Henderson: The 5-11, 175-pound wide receiver and defensive back had two touchdown receptions, returned a punt for a touchdown and intercepted a pass.

Truitt Manuel, West Henderson: The 6-2, 195-pound wide receiver and free safety caught a touchdown and intercepted two passes.
