Pinkerton, Hanover boys stay hot

Sep. 10—The Pinkerton Academy and Hanover boys soccer teams continued on the winning path on Saturday.

The Astros received goals from five different players to stay unbeaten and untied by blanking Timberlane 5-0. Hanover, meanwhile, scored six goals in the first half and shut out Manchester Memorial 7-0.

Pinkerton 5, Timberlane 0: Zack Smith, Denis Mino, Ethan Bellows, Phoenix Beaulieu and Casey Bridges scored for the Astros (5-0-0). The goals for Beaulieu and Bridges were their first at the varsity level. Smith added two assists. Goalies Cam Kuncik (five saves) and Rolson Ladd (three saves) combined for the shutout.

Hanover 7, Memorial 0: Ian Press scored in the fourth minute, Zach Tracy had a goal and four assists, Andrew McGuire tallied two goals, and Carter Guerin and Ryder Hayes each added a goal as the Bears improved to 4-1-0 in Division I. Wyatt Seelig made two saves for the shutout. Hanover travels to two-time defending state champion Nashua South for a Tuesday night (6 p.m.) showdown at Stellos Stadium.
