Piling up the points to start the season: Vote for the Hometeam Girls' Lacrosse Player of the Week
The high school girls' lacrosse season in Central Mass. got off to a solid start, despite a few weather delays, with plenty of area athletes showing they're already in midseason form. Jennifer Toland rounded up a few of the best performances for readers to vote on for the first Hometeam Girls' Lacrosse Player of the Week of the spring season.

Elisse Boucher, Worcester
The sophomore totaled five goals and two assists in wins over Hopedale and Bay Path.
Maddie Dugan, Notre Dame Academy
The senior scored five goals in a win over Fontbonne.
Kaitlyn Head, Wachusett
The senior scored seven goals and added an assist in a win over Algonquin Regional.
Megan Heffernan, Oakmont
The junior scored six goals in a win over Bromfield.
Jenna Koch, Groton-Dunstable
The senior had five goals and an assist in a win over Tyngsborough and followed it up with four goals as the Crusaders rolled past Bromfield on Monday.
Emma Kokocinski, Shepherd Hill
The freshman scored eight goals as the Rams opened the season 2-1.
Kadie O’Neil, Tantasqua
In two wins to open the season, the sophomore registered 10 goals and an assist.
Erin Peplowski, Lunenburg
The senior scored six goals in a win over Littleton.
Caroline Pinto, Nashoba
Pinto opened the season with had eight goals and four assists as the Wolves turned on the jets in a 27-18 win over Tahanto.
Julia Rubinow, Tahanto
Rubinow tallied six goals and four assists as the Stags edged North Middlesex on Monday after opening the season with four goals and four assists in a loss to Nashoba.
Madison Thibeault, Northbridge
The junior totaled 13 goals as the Rams started the season 2-1.
Layne Thompson, Hudson
Thompson scored nine goals to power the Hawks past Marlborough.
Lily Villaflor, Westborough
The senior scored nine goals to lead the Rangers to a 3-0 week. In the win over Oakmont Regional, Villaflor had seven draw controls, including the 200th of her career. She followed that up with three goals and two assists in a win over West Springfield on Monday.
