Nastasiuk jumped from 33rd to 13th amongst North American skaters following an excellent second half of 2012-13 with the Attack. His father Paul played for the Toronto Argonauts and his mother Sue was a collegiate basketball player.

Zadorov had an excellent rookie season with the Knights after coming over from Russia, with the second-most points (25) among OHL defenceman. He's a big kid with a lot of potential to develop.

A tough, physical agitator despite his limited size (5'11", 185 lbs), Hartman averaged over a point-per-game in his first OHL season, while finishing seventh in the league with 120 penalty minutes. His all-around game has increasingly earned scouts' attention.

If you're casually interested in the draft, you probably know MacKinnon, Jones, Drouin. If you've paid a little more attention, you might recognize the names Barkov, Monahan and Fucale.

But unless your team is picking in the top three, you might find yourself scratching your head when your GM announces the name of his first pick.

So instead of channeling your confusion into rage, get to know these prospects that have been picking up momentum in the weeks and months leading up to the draft.
