Phoenix Suns representing with 2023-24 Nike NBA City Edition 'El Valle' jerseys

The Phoenix Suns continue to represent The Valley with their new 2023-24 Nike NBA City Edition ‘El Valle’ jerseys.

The Suns will debut this new look in their first NBA In-Season Tournament game on Nov. 10 against the Los Angeles Lakers on the new court design at Footprint Center.

They will wear the uniform 13 times this 2023-24 season.

The jerseys can be purchased starting Thursday at the arena’s team shop or at shop.suns.com.

The Suns and local artist Miguel Angel Godoy, a fine arts professor at Arizona State University, collaborated on the jersey design. The ‘El Valle’ wording is in classic Chicano cursive script and the side panels display pinstriping to embody hand-painted pinstripes of a lowrider.

Local legend Efrain “Bugs” Gonzales worked with the Suns to create a custom 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air to match the designs of the uniform. The Chevy will be on display at select games and arena events.

Along with the jerseys, the Suns teamed up with local artist Chicano artist SPAWK in designing ‘El Valle’ merchandise for Wild Collective that includes t-shirts, hoodies and jackets.

Those will be available online in the next few days and available at the team shop on Nov. 10 as well as the first t-shirt of a five-piece t-shirt.

Future t-shirts will be made available throughout the season.
