Looks like hot dog prices at the ballpark needed to ketchup with inflation, but fans are not relishing the changes.

Dollar Dog Night was one of the most popular deals every night at Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies announced all of their promotional deals this year, and it lists Hatfield Phillies Franks BOGO Nights on April 2 vs. Cincinnati Reds, and Tuesday, April 16 vs. Colorado Rockies, both at 6:40 p.m. Fans can buy two hot dogs for the price of one hot dog ($5) at concession stands throughout the ballpark.

That's a bump of 150%, but the Phillies are offering other deals.

“With so much excitement surrounding the club’s upcoming London Series, our promotional team has added two London-themed giveaways to the 2024 lineup including a Double Decker Bus for children 14 and under on June 1 and Sunglasses for all fans on June 5, both presented by SEI,” Phillies Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations & Projects John Weber said in a news release. “Another great addition to the lineup is the very popular Coca-Cola Photo Day, giving fans the chance to go onto the field to take photos prior to the game on July 13 game with our players, alumni, broadcasters and more.”

Perhaps they can no longer afford Dollar Dog Night because Bryce Harper is asking for an extension? Either way, fans are saying the new promotion just isn't cutting the mustard.

Dollar Dog nights have been a tradition at Citizens Bank Park for decades. It was always one of the most popular tickets in town.

Two for $5 Dog Night doesn't have the same ring to it.

The Phillies have been playing like anything but dogs. After making the World Series in 2022, they bowed out last year in the National League Championship Series.
