Personal Best/AES/Ledo Pizza Patriots shut out Miners, 34-0

Sep. 19—LONACONING — The Personal Best/AES/Ledo Pizza Patriots shut out the Miners, 34-0, on Saturday at Westmar Middle School in Cumberland Area Youth Football League Division 1 action.

The Patriots (4-0) led 6-0 after the first quarter, 22-0 at the half and 28-0 after three quarters.

Channing Logsdon ran the ball six times for 65 yards and a touchdown, caught three passes for 65 yards and had a 70-yard touchdown run and 90-yard punt return for a score called back by penalties.

Levi House completed 6 of 8 passes for 146 yards and a TD, adding 16 yards on six touches. Devon Robinson had three carries for 60 yards and a TD and caught a 46-yard touchdown.

Gabe George tallied 60 yards on six carries, and Isaiah Welsh ran it nine times for 50 yards and a score.

AJ Adams topped the Patriots' defense with 10 tackles. George and Gabe Simmons made five stops each, Tater Jones had four tackles, and Jachai St. Surin intercepted two passes.

Welsh started the scoring with a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Logsdon and Robinson had runs of nine and 24 yards for scores in the second period — both capped by Jones extra point kicks.

House scored on a 46-yard scamper in the third quarter, and George found pay-dirt from five yards out in the fourth.

The D1 Patriots host Southern on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Greenway Avenue Stadium. The D2 game is at 4 p.m.
