Penn's Elijah Coker leads All-Northern Indiana Conference boys track as MVP

Penn High School's Elijah Coker has been named the boys track Northern Indiana Conference Most Valuable Player.

Coker is All-NIC first team in four events to earn the honor. Elkhart's Adam Homo is the NIC's Coach of the Year.

Coker is first-team in the 100 meter dash (10.81), the 200 (21.96), the long jump (22-5) and was a member of Penn's first-team 400 relay (42.29) squad. The other members of that foursome are Kohen Turner, Camden Anderson and Jaedon Parker. Also earning first-team honors for Penn is its 1,600 relay squad of Dylan DeDario, Phillip Harris, Taylor Bauer and Braden White.

Elkhart had five first-team selections, led by Maxwell Malloy in the 1,600 (4:18.36), the 3,200 (9:27.84) and the 4x800 relay squad (8:05.08). Max Huckleberry was first team in the 800 (2:01.97) and also a member of the top 3,200 relay. The other members of that foursome are Jackson Ezzell, and Aaron Richter. The Lions' Trinton Harris is first team in the high jump (6-4).

Saint Joseph garnered three first-team picks, led by hurdler Luke Kaufhold in the 110 (15.01) and 300 (40.28). The Huskies' Brady Farrell is first team pole vault (13-0).

New Prairie's Isaac Fronk is first team in both the discus (162-1) and the shot put (52-4.5).

Bishop Williams of Jimtown is first-team in the 400 (50.61).
