Recruiting Profile

Penn State scored one of the top recruits in program history by signing Kebba Njie in the Class of 2022. Njie was rated as a four-star recruit on the 247Sports composite rankings and a top 100 player in the nation by ESPN. He is reportedly the second highest-ranked player in program history. Njie’s recruitment was a big victory for Shrewsberry as Njie committed to Penn State over offers from Butler and Kansas State.

Role in 2022-23

Penn State fans may not have to wait too long to see Kebba Njie find his role on the team. The star freshman could quickly become a fixture in the starting lineup for Shrewsberry and the Nittany Lions. Njie is expected to be one of the top impact freshmen in the Big Ten according to 247Sports, and he will definitely be adding some needed size to the roster.
