Paw Paw crushed Timber Ridge; Union falls to Turkeyfoot

Jan. 23—PAW PAW, W.Va. — Paw Paw jumped out to a 22-0 lead after the first quarter and rolled to a 64-26 rout of Timber Ridge (Va.) on Monday night.

Paw Paw (9-5) led 38-7 at the half and 55-11 after three quarters.

Donovan Tanouye paced the Pirates with 12 points on 6 of 8 shooting.

Greyson Corbett notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, Connor Williams scored 10 points, Taylor Carder added eight points and four assists, and Aiden Crabtree garnered eight points and four assists. Carder made two 3-pointers.

Paw Paw hosted Hancock on Tuesday night, and it hosts Shanksville on Saturday at noon.

Turkeyfoot 60, Union 36

CONFLUENCE, Pa. — Bryce Nicholson exploded for 33 points to guide Turkeyfoot to a romp of Union on Monday night.

Turkeyfoot jumped out to a 23-7 lead at the end of the opening stanza and extended its margin to 43-12 at the half. It led Union, 53-27, after three quarters.

Braylon Ward led the Union effort with 16 points and eight rebounds. Eric Linkswiler added nine points, and Josh Burdock chipped in five.

Union hosts Pocahontas County on Thursday night.
