Patrick Beverley reveals absurd reason Bulls snubbed him as youngster

The past decade hasn’t been too kind to the Chicago Bulls. Since 2014, the Bulls have only made the playoffs four times, and only once have they made it past the first round. Needless to say, Chicago hasn’t enjoyed too much success in the sport of basketball.

In their quest to field a competitive roster, they’ve seen a good chunk of talent pass through the city. Guys like Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade, and Pau Gasol have all passed through the city. But while they’ve been home to a good amount of talent, they’ve also turned some away. One player who was snubbed by Chicago is Patrick Beverley.

During a recent edition of his podcast, “The Pat Bev Pod,” Beverley revealed that, after he worked out with the Bulls, they never invited him back. They cited a lack of defense as their reason for not bringing him back.

Obviously, Beverley eventually made his way back to Chicago after many years, but for the Bulls to deny a future three-time All-Defensive guy for defensive problems isn’t a great look.
