Parking update for Highmark Stadium during construction

The Buffalo Bills are inching closer and closer to breaking ground on their new stadium in 2023.

At some point during the process, the team will still be playing at their old house at Highmark Stadium right across the street.

Parking during game days is expected to see some changes over time.

Bills executive vice president/chief operating officer Ron Raccuia told the Buffalo News that year-by-year, the situation will be fluid.

In 2023, it’s expected that there will be “little-to-no impact” for fans. He added there might be a loss of some RV parking spots but not much else.

As things roll along, it’s said things will worsen because of the nature of the beast that is constructing a $1.5 billion stadium.

Raccuia stated the parking situation “will change from (this year) to 2024 and then in 2025, it will be a little more difficult.”

Eventually the old Highmark Stadium will be brought down and that will add to the number of parking lot spaces for Buffalo fans. The Bills’ new stadium has an anticipated opening slated for 2026 and construction will begin some time in 2023.

Earlier this week, the team released an updated series of renderings for the stadium.

Bills Wire will continue to bring updates on the new venue as information is made available.
