Packers vs. Vikings preview: Predictions, odds, how to watch Sunday Night Football

There are just two weeks left to play in the 2023 NFL season, but several playoff spots are still up for grabs.

Two teams vying for one of the final spots in the NFC are the Green Bay Packers (7-8) and Minnesota Vikings (7-8). They'll meet in an NFC North clash in the Week 17 edition of "Sunday Night Football" in what is a must-win game for both teams to keep playoff hopes alive.

With the Lions securing the division title with their win last week, both teams are competing for one of the final two Wild Card spots. Both teams stand behind two 8-7 teams in the NFC West: the Rams and the Seahawks.

According to analytics from NFL.com, the Vikings' playoff odds jump to 50% with a win and plunge to 5% with a loss. For the Packers, a win puts their playoff odds at 56%, while a loss would drop those odds to just 1%.

Here's everything to know about the divisional matchup.

Packers vs. Vikings predictions:

USA TODAY: Four of five writers predict a Packers road victory

Jordan Mendoza writes, "Packers 27, Vikings 26... Minnesota offense continues to be riddled by injuries, but it gets a solid chance at still having a good outing against a defense that can't seem to stop much at the moment. Still, Jordan Love and company are able to squeak out a close win in Minnesota to keep their playoff hopes alive."

The Arizona Republic: Packers 24, Vikings 20

Jeremy Cluff writes, "The winner of this game keeps slim playoff hopes alive. The loser is out. The Vikings are just 2-5 at home this season."

ESPN: Packers have slight edge on the road

ESPN Analytics give the Packers a 52.7% chance to win in Minneapolis, while they give the Vikings a 46.9% chance to keep their playoff hopes alive.
