Over 30 Fayetteville-area soccer players made all-conference teams. Here's the list

Fayetteville-area girls soccer teams have wrapped up their respective seasons for 2024, and United 8 and All American all-conference teams have been announced.

In the United 8, Cape Fear and Purnell Swett were declared co-champions due to scheduling issues after inclement weather, as well as Pine Forest and Overhills in the All American conference.

Four area teams made the NCHSAA 3A/4A playoffs, and No. 8-seed Cape Fear went made it as far as the third round.

Here are the U8 and AAC all-conference teams, players and coaches of the year.

  • Offensive Player of the Year: Josie McLean, Purnell Swett

  • Defensive Player of the Year: Caroline Hales, Cape Fear

  • Goal Keeper of the Year: Adisyn Bland, Purnell Swett

First team

  • Lumberton: Chloe Hammond

  • South View: Gabriella Conner

  • Cape Fear: Jayda Angel, Cape Fear, Brooke Bombatepe, Meredith Wenthur
