What’s the outlook for Rutgers football landing Josiah Brown?

Josiah Brown is one of the top athletes from the tristate area, putting him in demand and making his recruitment truly national. Even with a number of top programs after Brown, it appears that Rutgers football is still in the lead to land Long Island’s top player.

A four-star recruit, Brown is a standout at both wide receiver and safety in addition to running track for Holy Trinity (Hicksville, N.Y.). He is a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports, ESPN and On3 and a consensus top-two player in New York in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

According to On3, he is favored to end up at Rutgers. The On3 ‘Recruiting Prediction Machine’ has Brown at 54.0 percent to Rutgers.

This number does not reflect the recent development of Alabama offering Brown this week.

Syracuse (14.0 percent), Penn State (12.0 percent) and Notre Dame (5.2 percent) round out the top four projections for Brown.
