Could OU quarterback Dillon Gabriel end up at USC with former Sooner coach Lincoln Riley?

The OU redshirt senior quarterback announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Monday, and a few potential landing spots have already emerged. On3's Pete Nakos reported that the schools to watch for Gabriel are Mississippi State, USC and Oregon.

Gabriel could go to Mississippi State if he wants to reunite with head coach Jeff Lebby, who served as OU's offensive coordinator the past two seasons. The two also formed an OC-quarterback connection at UCF in 2019.

Then there's USC, which is led by former OU head coach Lincoln Riley. The Trojans would be in need of a quarterback if Caleb Williams declares for the 2024 NFL Draft, and Los Angeles is a short flight to Gabriel's home state of Hawaii.

Oregon also figures to be in the market for a quarterback. The Ducks are set to lose senior Bo Nix, who's enjoying a Heisman-caliber season in what marks his final year of eligibility.

Gabriel threw for 3,660 yards, 30 touchdowns and six interceptions this season. He ranks eighth in NCAA career passing yards (14,865).
